The Chung Do Kwan (School of the Blue Wave) form of Tae Kwon Do forms the foundation for our technique; testing and advancement are graded on understanding and performance of traditional Korean Tae Kwon Do poomsae, terms, philosophies and techniques. From that base we incorporate Muay Thai, Akido, shootfighting, and many other arts' techniques into our training.
At BPMA we do not practice fancy, flashy movements, we practice what you and I are faced with every day in parking lots, at school, in the office, or in the street. We practice for safety and awareness; a person's best defense is being prepared!
Our goal is not to label individuals, children or adults, (i.e. Hyper Active, ADD or ODD) but to empower them to growth. Greater self control and self determination are just a few of the many benefits of training. But the greatest impact is how students begin to see themselves. Our training teaches them to complete tasks and set their goals and actions appropriately. We train to know ourselves better and use that knowledge to affect the world around us for the better.
